Caitlyn McGinnis, BS
Caitlyn McGinnis is completing her Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health through Liberty University. She believes that regardless of a person’s background or worldview, as humans there is a desire to be known, accepted, and loved. One of Caitlyn’s main therapeutic goals for anyone who comes into her office is that they learn beneficial coping skills, attain positive affirmations, and are able to fully be their authentic and unique self! Helping others thrive in their life and relationships instead of just surviving, especially for military families and marriages, is one of Caitlyn’s main reasons of going into Mental Healthcare.
Caitlyn is a Texas native who has quickly fallen in love with the gorgeous Colorado Springs landscape. She’s been all over the world the last six years following her husband’s military workstations. Caitlyn has a heart for seeing others walk in freedom from shame, fear, and trauma.
Caitlyn incorporates Person-Centered, CBT, AEDP, and Emotion-Focused therapy techniques in her counseling sessions. She is currently pursuing her RPT certificate. She has experience with trauma and approaches therapy in a trauma informed way.
Outside of helping families, couples, and individuals learn to thrive in their lives, Caitlyn loves baking a really good sourdough loaf, trying out new recipes, and hanging out with her two kids and dog, Max.
