Nicole Hohl, Psy.D

Nikki is a Psychologist Candidate with a Doctor of Psychology degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in forensics from University of the Rockies. She has been working as a therapist since 2014. Her experience includes work with those who suffer from mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma, grief, suicidal thoughts, and self-harming behaviors. She also counsels couples and families struggling with relational problems, communication issues, and mental illnesses, along with behavioral problems.

Nikki takes a non-directive, empathic approach that places emphasis on the whole person which empowers and motivates the client in the therapeutic process. She gently holds the space for the client to share their stories, thoughts and feelings in a safe compassionate environment.

Nikki customizes treatment interventions specific for each client which allows the client to move at their own pace. Nikki uses evidence based therapeutic interventions which include Existential, Person-Centered and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques.

Originally from New York, Nikki settled in Colorado in 2007 with her wonderful husband, Ray and their children. In addition to keeping up with a busy family, Nikki enjoys hiking, exploring off-road trails, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
