What is intensive counseling?
Intensives are in-depth counseling designed to assist clients to get more accomplished at a quicker pace, so that they can get everything out on the table and begin to make real progress. In normal weekly counseling, it will take clients about 20 weeks to complete 20 sessions, while in our intensive counseling program we complete 20 sessions in 4 days. In traditional counseling clients often find themselves discussing other matters that come up along the way, rather than the true reason for which they first began counseling. This can leave people bewildered and thinking that they can't be helped, when that is not true. The problem isn't the client, but the method.
Our intensive approach helps clients get to the root issues of their problems and begin to make progress because we have the expertise and time to do so. We take our clients through a 5 phase process of information gathering, analysis, personal and relational dynamic detox, re-building, and maintenance planning. We specialize in individual, marital, and family intensive counseling and offer our clients all-inclusive arrangements if desired. Are you ready for positive change? Why choose intensive counseling?
Traditionally, counseling goes on for months at a time, with weekly sessions, but that doesn’t work for everybody. Whether it be because they want a more concentrated experience or are in crisis or simply want to accomplish their goals at a faster pace, some may benefit more from a form of counseling called intensive counseling.

Intensive counseling is a form of short-term intensive counseling where a client is seen for the equivalent of 20 sessions over the course of 4 days, providing a much more in-depth experience. The longer and more frequent counseling sessions aren’t just to expedite the process, as it allows for treatment to be more focused, in-depth, and tailored to a client’s needs.
Our transformational intensive counseling in Colorado Springs and South Texas are most effective for people who are motivated about their growth and truly want change, as the more concentrated experience means deeper-set, chronic, or crisis-oriented issues can be well addressed. Unlike traditional counseling, there aren’t weeklong gaps between sessions where the progress made can lose steam, treatment can lose focus, or the things discussed in previous sessions and lessons learned can become diluted. Instead, we are able to make the most of every minute.
Combining experience-based learning and individual therapy, our individual intensive counseling program will be a memorable and transformative experience that improves your life for the better because you’re worth it!
If you want to turn over a new leaf in your marriage, our intensive counseling programs will help enhance trust, increase intimacy, strengthen communication, and further the connection you have with your partner.
Family provides a sense of security and belonging. Families should be loving, open, and make every member feel important, respected, and valued. If you’ve lost that or want to strengthen these qualities, our family intensive counseling can help because family should never quit on one another!
